I've been wearing corsets for years- and usually I get custom made, quite expensive ones made to fit my body. However, I also go to a lot of costume events and I wanted to add a few new looks to my collection without spending the average $300 and up each for my new corsets. I bought this corset- an emerald green velvet piece with some lovely embroidery sequined work on the front. I did not expect much from a $119 corset, readymade, sold at Amazon. But I got my corset, was surprised by how sturdy it is! I am a plus sized woman with a lot to hold in and this overbust works like a charm. I wore it to a huge costume festival and was complimented dozens of times, even my a professional corset maker! Now, this corset is not going to give you the super-hourglass shape that a high end custom made one will, but with proper lacing, you can get close, and for the price, this is honestly the best corset-buy out there.
